Physical Description;
It is said that one can not mistake a Lich for any thing else unless the Lich is using magic to conceal himself.
And it is quite true. Even for as odd a Lich as he is, Krell can't help but look the part. The part, of course, being a skeleton without an ounce of flesh remaining with a steady, red glow emmenating from his empty eye sockets. What he has managed to differentiate himself with though, is his garment. In lieu of the usual black, or at the bare minimum dark blue, robe, Krell wears a Monk's habit. He wears it with the hood up at all times, and a masking enchantment prevents passer's-by from becoming curious in his appearance.
As for his appearance in life a Nieldic description seems fitting. 'For someone who looked death in the face,and punched her in the nose; he sure wasn't running very fast'. Or in more simple, human terms; considering the life he'd led, he aged well.

Bio:
Krell Casat was born to a relatively ordinary family on Gasca roughly seventy years prior to the plague of Danielland. He was a steady A+ student and excelled in Tacsim from an early age, earning him an officer's commision in the Imperial Navy. He was well known as an avid player of many games, including Realm; where he saved a fellow player from a Secloran ambush. He soon discovered that his new friend was in fact his Emperor, and their friendship quickly expanded into the real world. Through a mixture of political ties and strategic prowess, Krell was made one of the youngest Admirals in the history of the navy, a position he would hold the rest of his life. One such political tie was made by the request of the emperor. He married Lewiza following what is generally called a whirlwind romance; a relationship that had been started at the prompting of the emperor in order to bring her father, a dissident colonial governor, closer to the Empire. Both were very private, and few details are known of their relationship, save that they had five sons and two daughters, all of whom followed in their father's naval lineage.
Then the plague broke out. A rather large human cult, working under the Frost Lych Xanadu, dropped canisters of a disease specially modified to attack and replace the blood of Nielda. While the Nielda infected by it did not truely die, they were condemned to a hideous half life. Krell had been with his fleet in the colonies, visiting his wife and children for the holidays. They were spared the fate that met their friends and families in the Empire, and by order of Kvald III Krell was given command of what came to be known as the Last Living Fleets. He called upon every ounce of his tactical and strategic expertise, and their retaliation took a mere week to complete. Civilian casualties amongst the humans were low, despite the bloodlust of the survivors, thanks primarily to Krell's charisma and determination. In the final conflict of the campaign, Krell himself took to the field and challenged Xanadu, perpetrator of the heinous act, in single combat. Krell managed to defeat the last of the Lych, and lead the Last Living Fleets into a colony region just outside the edge of the Daniellandish Empire proper, and established it as a bulwark against any future human attacks. The region was renamed in his honor, the Casat Line. He remained in command for the rest of his life, and his command was spared the horrors of the war with the Seclorans that followed. His last public appearance was at the commemorative service for Emperor Kvald III, who died in a crippling attack against Seclora.
Necro:
Sadly, Krell was not allowed to die as his friend had. Without his knowledge and against his will, Holine, the youngest daughter and newly coronated Empress of Danielland, stole a fragment of his soul and bound it to a phylactery. In his own home, and in the presence of his horrified family, Krell was transformed into an undead Lich. They faked his death and his men mourned his passing unaware of their Admiral's fate. Holine arrived, her own Lichhood concealed within her armor, and told him what she had done, and commanded him to return to the Imperial service as a field operative. As the war with the Secloran Empire began to escalate once more, Krell found himself thrust deep within the enemy homeworlds. For forty years he was forced to fight, destroying enemy shipyards, battleships, and fortresses alone and without support. He was the perfect agent of chaos, for even if he were slain in his efforts he would be forced to simply regenerate at the phylactery Holine had bound him to. Then he heard that Lewiza, his wife, had fallen ill and was dying. He abandoned his post, slaying every agent Holine sent to recapture him, and arrived home in time to witness his beloved's funeral. He checked in with his descendants, who followed in his footsteps and lead the Casat Line with the responsibilities of nobles, but with none of the priveliges. But he retreated to a monastary not far from his home town on Gasca, studying theology and trying to repent for his actions during the war with Seclora. He was eventually made a lay-priest and given a post in a local parish. For nearly four hundred hears he waited and continued as he had in life, a servant of his people, until one day, his studies were interrupted by a wounded traveller...
Most recently, he managed to enter the Imperial Palace by exploiting his phylactery and with the aid of Rea and Arcania he was able to defeat Holine and regain his body. It has yet to be seen what course he shall take now that he is properly immortal.
